Science is said to be study of physical and natural means of surroundings through various experiments and research. Technology is nothing but the real application of science to make something work and bring into existence. Both of these, science and technology walks hand in hand to make our life more comfortable and fulfil our needs.
In general, they both are two different words but actually they are two faces of one coin who are interdependent on each other.
Let’s see some facts about them.
Evolution with Time:
Science and technology had played a vital role in evolution of modern era. The introduction to modern society is given only because of science and technology. The intervention of both of these have not only made our lives dependent on them but also made it a bit easy to be lived. Starting our day from waking up with morning alarm, having food on gas stoves and ovens, to going to bed with A.C’s onn, all is because of science and technology.
Pros and Cons:
However, we also cannot deny the destruction which are caused due to this science and technology. Though advancements had made our lives more easy to live, yet the development of these are result in loss of biodiversity and harm to ecosystem as well. We are very familiar with nuclear and atomic bombs which are considered to be as a symbol of developed Nation, but didn’t it is as a result of destruction and harm. The test which happens destroys the whole biodiversity of that area keeping it not of any use for several years.
One of the best example of destruction due to science and technology is Bhopal Gas Tragedy, where almost 30 tonnes of methyl isocyanate was leaked accidentally and killed almost 20,000 people leaving more than 50,000 people affected badly. The whole ecosystem got affected for over many years.

But we also cannot deny that when we wiegh pros and cons of both, benefits of science and technology is indistinguishable and immeasurable.

Science and Technology also helps in growth of agricultural sector. In ancient years, farmers used bullock carts and “Hulls” to plough their fields but nowadays when technology has advanced to its top most level, farmers adopt new techniques and machines to reduce the cost of labour and increase the productivity. It’s known that science and technology had advanced the growth of crop production by multiple times.
Medical Growth:
Science and Technology had also been showing growth in fields of medicines, which is helping to develop a nation health-wise as well. The best example in today’s world is Covaccines which have been developed as result of Corona Virus. The advancement of technology is only the reason for the development of such medicines and vaccines which makes the population to fight against such deadly virus which almost swallowed the whole world into its mouth.

Educational Development:
It’s said that a nation grows when it’s literary rates are high. Science and Technology truly helps in growth of field of education. The presence of smart classes and online classes had made studying more interesting and intriguing.

They had also made studying easy for PwD students who are impaired by various methods like audio visuals, braille systems etc. So, growth of education had also been as a result of Science and Technology.
Conclusion:
Concluding, we can only state that our lives are nothing without science and technology because from top to toe we are dependent and in need of technologies. It has deeply rooted it’s importance in our lives that we can’t even imagine without science.
