The inquisitive mind of humans led to their drastic development. Science is the study of the structure and behavior of the natural and physical world through observations and experiments. Science used its intellectual power in developing technology and thereby used technology for the development of science. The 20th and 21st century has many remarkable achievements to its credit.
Most of them have been the gifts of science. The most sensational, perhaps of these gifts, is space travel. A century back if anyone had talked of visiting the moon, he would have been labeled a lunatic! But now it has become a living reality. Men have actually landed on the moon.
SPACE SCIENCE
The space-age for modern men commenced in 1957 when Russia sent up the first space satellite. It was called “The Sputnik’. Four years later, Russia sent the first man Yuri Gagarin-into space. Only eight years had to pass for the first man to land on the moon. This time it was America’s hour of glory.
It was Armstrong of America who became the first man to set foot on the moon’s surface. In July 1976 America achieved another first. The American space ship “Viking landed on Mars! Thus extends the list of achievements by science and technology. These journeys into outer space have, naturally, revolutionized our idea of human skill.
We almost feel that nothing is beyond human reach. Space research has yielded many practical results too. It has helped us in matters like communication and weather forecasting. Satellites are now being used to relay broadcasting programs around the world.
ADVANTAGES OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Science and technology have made our lives easier. Now we can talk to a person who is miles apart. Gathering knowledge has now become just a fun matter as we have the internet. The language barrier gets demolished as we have google translator. The route map and accurate location are available to us due to GPS. The massive concept of industrialization has been a byproduct of technology. It had helped to decrease human labor.
IN AGRICULTURE
The arrival of machines is a great boon to the overall sectors as it helps to mitigate the time and give high-quality services in a very short time span. In the field of agriculture, the arrival of machines to sow the seeds and harvest has really helped the farmers.
TRANSPORTATION FIELD
The field of transportation science has created a very great achievement. It helped to bring the whole world into a minute ball. The arrival of ships helped to transport cargo easily and in a short time. Airplanes, trains, buses, and several other vehicles have really helped in transportation.

Science and technology have a large impact on the medical field. All drugs, tools, machines such as ECG,MRI, injections have helped to cure diseases rapidly. Earlier there were no methods to cure the pandemic. The plague spread across the world, brutally killing many lives. With the advancement of technology, the diagnosis and treatment became swift. It was with the help of science and technology that we were able to find the covid vaccine.
COMMUNICATION
In the field of communication, the intervention of technology has created everlasting magic. We are now able to connect with people around the world. Due to the unprecedented condition of pandemics, the future became a question mark.
EDUCATION SECTOR
With the help of technology in the education sector, it supported education all over the world. All information was available in just a click. Videos related to studies and projects, doubt clearing sessions, are available by technology.
In India, 17 % of the population is below the poverty line. There are a lot of students and workers who are unable to access the advantages of technology.
DISADVANTAGES OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
There are evil effects in science and technology as similar to any other matters.
- The nuclear weapons which were developed with the help of science and technology have created massive destruction all over the world. In such a way the mismanagement of science and technology can affect our health and lives in a negative manner too.

As a coin has two sides, science, and technology have boon and bane. At the same time, it can make our life comfy and easy, but also dangerous and hectic.
