Introduction:

May is remarked as the National Physical Fitness month, a time when we get our lifestyles and commitments changed and renew them in order to live a healthier and easy life. Sports and Exercises can improve both, our physical as well as our mental health because the whole nervous system only balances when we our fit and healthy. Sports and Fitness is very much important in one’s life because it not only improves their physical and mental demands but also embraces their family’s health.

Sports and Fitness always encourages an individual to live happily and long, it beaches a new way of happiness and living. Sports and games not only means playing, it also encourages the power of meditations and yoga because the peacefulness of mind and body too makes it work calmly.

Growth with Time:

Physical sports and fitness is not a new term, it had always been an important part of life. In ancient times of kings and queens, youths were trained up to their skills to make them fit for their state’s army. They were trained, since their childhoods, with all the sports and games from archery, wrestling to body building and athletics. They were trained professionally by best trainers of their areas. Youths were made fit so that they can take care of their family well and protect their presidencies.

With time changing, the way of training changed but the sports and fitness remained same. Till today the army officers at borders are trained with same traditional way but with new equipment and technologies.

Fitness and Age groups:

The recent studies of U.S Health & Service Department stared that an unhealthy youth is much big problem than a healthy old person. They say that 73% of the obese teens may end up as obese adults. This is alone an alarming situation, not only for youths, but for teens and old aged people as well, to take up sports and fitness activities in count in their lifestyle. Sports and fitness can actually root out the problems by which we usually suffer such asthma, digestion issues, eyesight issues etc.

Here are some age groups and some advices associated with them:

  • Children and Teens: Sports and activities such as football, basketball, etc. can increase and build muscular health, bone density and heart rates.
  • Adolescents and Adults: Gyms and exercises increases your viability and reduces the risk of heart attacks, diabetes and hypertension.
  • Old Aged: Exercises at home and brisk walking can result to good health and improve cognitive functions.

Factors responsible for fitness:

Some of the factors that can help us to understand physical fitness and it’s importance are:

  • Muscular strength: It means how much force a muscle group can exert to a resistance, for example, the body lifting we do at gyms. It actually builds up the muscles and make it strengthen to make heavy lifts.
  • Flexibility: It’s quality of muscles that makes it to move easily around a complete movement, for example, yoga is the best way to increase our flexibility which makes our body more fit and healthy.
  • Body Weight: There is relation between body weight and strength. People with heavier body are likely to have more strength than lighter ones. Body weight is always controlled by sports and games.

Fitness and Corona:

We are at an alarming scenario of pandemic which has almost taken the whole world under its mouth, Corona Virus Disease, which directly attacks our immunity system and fails it. However, in starting days it was pretty less and attacked to those who had cough and cold majorly. But with time lapse of 1 year, it had been mutated and now even a healthy person with proper diet is suffering from Corona. This all is game of immunity and health.

Yoga and breathing exercises are mostly prescribed by doctors at this time of Corona.

Doctors, this time as well, is also prescribing breathing exercises along with medicines because nowadays breathing issues are major symptom of Corona. Exercises, sports and fitness will root out this virus from our body very soon and as we will boost up with our immunity we will gradually see a change in our health.

At last, I want to conclude that, sports and fitness not only makes us healthy and fit, it also encourages people of our surroundings to stay healthy and do exercises. This pandemic has made has understand that we need to build a very strong immunity and health which can resist and persist such viruses.
